In order to tame Mechanical Hunter Pets, you will need to either be a Gnome/Goblin Hunter or obtain Mecha-Bond Imprint Matrix from an engineer or Auction House. If you are an engineer and would like the pattern to make these you can purchase it from Xur’ios in Dalaran(Broken Isles) for 1 Curious Coin.
This pet can be found in the mountains to the North East of Stormwind City (cords 51.14)
He will knock you back and explode if he reaches you so be careful not to stand near the edge. If he explodes he kills himself and a bunch of sheep around him… unfortunate for all the innocent little sheep but I now know to use some slowing on him. So his respawn time is approx 7 minutes 🙂
To tame this guy I put the maximum amount of distance between myself and him with my back against the mountain, I dropped a tar trap for him to move through and the tame was pretty simple from that point on.
