Childrens Week

There are many different reasons to participate in the world events such as Children’s week. You can do it for the Achievements, for the toys, pets, and mounts or you can do it for the love.

During this week there are several quests available for you to do depending on your characters level…

Horde Quests

Orcish Orphan – Grunth                              

                       

If you are a level 10 or above go to visit Orphan Matron Battlewail in the cleft of shadows in Orgrimmar (cords 58.57) she will have the quest “Children’s week” for you. Use the Orcish Orphan Whistle to summon your orphan Grunth and complete this quest.

Once this quest is done you will receive 3 new quests to complete:

Ridin’ the Rocketway – Bring you orphan to the Southern Rocketway Terminus (cords 50.74) to ride the experimental rocket The RedHound 2 seater prototype that is found at the top of the tower.  There is a direct flight path to Southern Rocketway from Orgrimmar.

The Banshee Queen – Take your orphan to Undercity to meet Lady Sylvanas, she can be found in the royal quarter (entrance cords 52.63). To get from Orgrimmar to Undercity take the Trisfal Glades zeppelin to Brill then run/fly to Undercity.

The Fallen Chieftain – Bring your orphan to Red Rocks (cords 60.22) in Mulgore. He wants to visit the funeral pyre of Cairne Bloodhoof to pay his respects. To get to Mulgore from Orgrimmar you can either take the zeppelin for free or fly to Thunder Bluff.

Once you have completed these 3 quests speak to your orphan for the next quests

You Scream, I Scream – Purchase ice cream at the Cone of Cold from Snixx Quickfreeze located near the Orgrimmar Embassy, Orgrimmar (cords 41.79) and share it with your orphan.

Let’s go Fly a Kite – Purchase a Dragon Kite 2 pack from Blax Bottlerocket in The Drag, Orgrimmar and fly the kite with your orphan. Blax wanders up and down the drag I found him at cords 57.53, so if you just have a quick look around he will be there somewhere.

Once completed talk to your orphan and receive the final quest

A Warden of The Horde – Buy a foam sword rack from Blaxx Bottlerocket in The Drag, Orgrimmar and then return your orphan to Orphan Matron Battlewail in The Drag, Orgrimmar (cords 58.57). You will get to choose one of the following – Piglet’s Collar, Rat Cage, Turtle Box, Snail Shell, Pet Care Package or Curmudgeon’s payoff (5 gold).

 

Blood Elf Orphan – Salandria

If you are level 60 or above go and visit Orphan Matron Mercy in Shattrath City (cords 74.47). She will have the quest Children’s Week for you, use the Bloodelf Orphan Whistle to summon your orphan Salandria and complete the quest.

Once this is done you will receive 3 new quests to complete:

Hch’uu and the Mushroom People – Take your orphan to Sporeggar, Zangarmarsh (cords 19.51 ) and speak with Hch’uu. The nearest flight path is Zabra’jin.

Visit the Throne of the Elements – Take your orphan to the Throne of the Elements, Nagrand (cords 60.22) and speak with Elementalist Sharvak. The nearest flightpath is Garadar.

A Trip to the Dark Portal – Take your orphan to the Stair of Destiny before the Dark Portal, Hellfire Peninsula (cords 87.50). There is a flight path directly to the dark portal.

Once you have completed these 3 quests speak to your orphan for the next quests:

Now, When I grow up – Take your orphan to see the Elite Tauren Chieftain in Silvermoon City’s Walk of Elders (cords 76.80). These are 2 relatively easy ways to get to Silvermoon City that I use 1. Use the Portal in The Shrine of the Two Moons 2. Use the translocation orb outside Undercity.

Time to visit the Caverns – Take your orphan to see Zaladormu (cords 51.53) in the Caverns of Time (entrance cords 64.49) and then purchase a toy dragon from Alurmi (cords 40.77) for her.
These are a few relatively easy ways I use to get to The Caverns of Time 1. Use the portal in Dalaran (Northrend) in the Violet Citadel 2. Use the Uldum portal in Orgrimmar then fly across 3. If you are revered with Keepers of Time get ported by Zephyr (cords 74.31) inside The Worlds End Tavern in Shattrath City. Once at the Caverns talk to the Steward of Time just inside the cave for a lift down to the bottom.

Once completed talk to your orphan and receive the final quest:

Back to the Orphanage – Return your orphan to Orphan Matron Mercy (cords 74.47) in Shattrath City. You will get to choose one of the following – Egbert’s Collar, Elekk Training Collar, Sleepy Willy, Legs, Pet Care Package.

 

Alliance Quests

Human Orphan – Randis

If you are a level 10 or above go to visit Orphan Matron Nightingale in Stormwind City (cords 56.54)  she will have the quest “Children’s week” for you. Use the Human Orphan Whistle to summon your orphan Randis and complete this quest.

Once this quest is done you will receive 3 new quests to complete:

Crusin the Chasm – Take your orphan to Sentinel Hill in Westfall (cords 53.46) and rent a chopper to tour the chasm with your orphan.

Malfurion Has Returned – Take your orphan to meet Malfurion Stormrage in the Temple of the Moon, Darnassus (cords 42.79). To get to Darnassus from Stormwind take the far left boat from Stormwind Harbor.

The Biggest Diamond Ever! – Take your orphan into Old Ironforge below The High Seat (entrance cords 44.48) so your orphan can explore to pay tribute to King Magni Bronzebeard. Once you enter the High Seat take a sharp right and follow the ramp down to Old Ironforge.

Once you have completed these 3 quests speak to your orphan for the next quests

You Scream, I Scream – Purchase ice cream from Hans Coldhearth at the Cone of Cold outside The Blue Recluse, Stormwind City (cords 50.89) and share it with your orphan.

Let’s go Fly a Kite – Purchase a Dragon Kite 2 pack from Craggle Wobbletop in the Trade District, Stormwind City and fly the kite with your orphan. I found him at cords 63.60 , so if you just have a quick look around he will be there somewhere.

Once completed talk to your orphan and receive the final quest:

A Warden of the Alliance – Buy a foam sword rack from Craggle Wobbletop in Stormwind City and then return your orphan to Orphan Matron Nightingale in Stormwind (cords 56.54).  You will get to choose one of the following – Piglet’s Collar, Rat Cage, Turtle Box, Snail Shell, Pet Care Package or Curmudgeon’s payoff (5 gold).

 

Draenei Orphan – Dornaa

If you are level 60 or above go and visit Orphan Matron Mercy in Shattrath City (cords 74.47). She will have the quest Children’s Week for you, use the Draenei Orphan Whistle to summon your orphan Dornaa and complete the quest.

Once this is done you will receive 3 new quests to complete:

Auchindoun and the Ring of Observance – Take your orphan to the Meeting stone in the Ring of Observance in the middle of Auchindoun, Terokkar Forest Bone Wastes (cords 39.64)

Jheel is at Aeris Landing – Take your orphan to Aeris Landing in Nagrand (cords 31.57). Telaar is the closest flight path.

A Trip to the Dark Portal – Take your orphan to the Stair of Destiny before the Dark Portal, Hellfire Peninsula (cords 87.50). There is a flight path directly to the dark portal.

Once you have completed these 3 quests speak to your orphan for the next quests:

The Seat of the Naaru – Take your orphan to visit O’ros ( 55.40) at the bottom of the Seat of the Naaru in the Exodar, Azuremyst Isle. The ramp to take you down to O’ros begins at cords 63.42.

Time to visit the Caverns – Take your orphan to see Zaladormu (cords 51.53) in the Caverns of Time (entrance cords 64.49) and then purchase a toy dragon from Alurmi (cords 40.77) for her.

Neutral Quests

If you are level 70 or above you can visit Orphan Matron Aria (cords 49.63) in Dalaran (Northrend). She will have 2 orphans for you to choose between, choose wisely as you will have to wait until next year to obtain the other pet, or complete these quests on an alt.

Oracle Orphan – Roo

The Biggest Tree Ever! – Take your orphan to visit Grizzlemaw, Grizzly Hills (cords 51.42). The nearest flight path is Amberpine Lodge(Alliance) or Camp Oneqwah (Horde)

The Bronze Dragonshrine – Take your orphan to visit the Bronze Dragonshrine in Dragonblight (cords 72.38). There is a flight path to Wrymrest Temple and then fly east, or take the boat to Moa’ki Harbor and head northeast.

Playmates! – Take your orphan to visit Winterfin Retreat, Borean Tundra (cords 42.13). Closest flightpath is Amber Ledge.

Meeting a Great One – Take your orphan to visit the Etymidian at the Shapers Terrace in Un’Goro Crater (cords 48.9). I take the Uldum portal in Orgrimmar/Stormwind and then fly to northern Un’goro. The Shapers Terrace is on the map to the east as you can see but the one you are after is to the north as marked.

The Dragon Queen – Take you orphan to visit Alexstrasza The Life-Binder at the top of Wyrmrest Temple in Dragonblight (cords 59.54). If you don’t have flying talk to Tariostrasz (cords 57.54) for a ride up.

A trip to the wonderworks – Purchase a small paper zeppelin at the Wonderworks (cords 42.44) in Dalaran (Northrend)and then throw it to your orphan.

Back to the Orphanage – Return to Matron Aria at the orphanage (cords 49.63) in Dalaran (Northrend). On completion of this quest, a Curious Oracle Hatchling will be mailed to you.

 

Wolvar Orphan – Kekek

Home of the Bear-Men – Take your orphan to visit Grizzlemaw, Grizzly Hills (cords 51.42). The nearest flight path is Amberpine Lodge(Alliance) or Camp Oneqwah (Horde)

The Bronze Dragonshrine – Take your orphan to visit the Bronze Dragonshrine in Dragonblight (cords 72.38). There is a flight path to Wrymrest Temple and then fly east, or take the boat to Moa’ki Harbor and head northeast.

Playmates! – Take your orphan to visit Snowfall Glade in Dragonblight (cords 46.59). Closest flightpath is Wyrmrest Temple.

The Dragon Queen – Take you orphan to visit Alexstrasza The Life-Binder at the top of Wyrmrest Temple in Dragonblight (cords 59.54). If you don’t have flying talk to Tariostrasz (cords 57.54) for a ride up.

The Mighty Hemet Nesingwary – Take your orphan to visit Hemet Nesingwary at the Nesingwary Base Camp in Sholazar Basin (cords 25.58). There is a direct flight to Nesingwary Base Camp.

A Visit to the wonderworks – Purchase a small paper zeppelin at the Wonderworks (cords 42.44) in Dalaran (Northrend)and then throw it to your orphan.

Back to the Orphanage – Return to Matron Aria at the orphanage (cords 49.63) in Dalaran (Northrend). On completion of this quest a Curious Wolvar Pup will be mailed to you.

 

Please Note:  If you get to where you need to be and your orphan is not with you be sure and use your whistle in your bag given to you by the Matron. If you are doing several of the orphan questlines at once check you have the correct orphan summoned to be able to get credit.
